Exporting Data

Data > Export

 

 

You can export data to most file types. Typically you only need to specify the file name and file type, and the data is exported into a new data file using default settings. You can specify your own settings on the Options frame of the Export dialog.

 

 

 

Export DataBook, DataSheet, Matrix, Vector, Commands, History, Error List

To export DataBook, use Data > Export, or right click the DataBook in Project manager and click Export

To export DataSheet, use Data > Export, or right click the DataSheet in Project manager and click Export

To export Matrix, Vector, Commands, History or Error List, undock window pane and use Data > Export, or right click the corresponding object in Project manager and click Export

Supported formats are ASCII, Excel, XML, PDF and HTML

 

Text Documents (ASCII)
You may specify the export of headers, the column delimiter and others flags. Default settings are in Options dialog

Include Headers

oNone: No headers is exported

oColumnHeadersCustomOnly: Only column headers are exported

oRowHeadersCustomOnly: Only row headers are exported

oBothCustomOnly: Export both column and row headers

Column Delimiter
Choose the column delimiter you want to use when exporting data

Custom Column Delimiter
Only active if Column Delimiter is Custom

Text File Flags

oNone: Not specified

oUnformatted: Whether to bypass the IFormatter in the StyleInfo for the cell

oSaveFormulas: Whether to save formulas

oIncludeFooter: Whether to save the column footer

oFilterRows: Whether to filter the rows with RowFilter

oForceCellDelimiter: Whether to force the cell delimiter

 

Excel Files
When you export to Excel, the entire DataBook is exported.
You are prompted to specify whether to export column headers, row headers, and formula
Options allows you to export formatted data and set a password.

 

XML Spreadsheet

 

PDF

Header: Use this property to specify the contents and formatting of the header that appears on the top of printed pages

Footer: Use this property to specify the contents and formatting of the footer that appears on the bottom of printed pages

Orientation: Sets the page orientation used for printing. The default value is Auto, which uses the current printer setting

Column Headers: Sets whether to print the column header. The default value is Inherit, which specifies that how the header is printed is inherited from the sheet

Row Headers: Sets whether to print the row header. The default value is Inherit, which specifies that how the header is printed is inherited from the sheet

Title: Set whether to print title.

Sub Title: Set whether to print subtitle.

Settings

oShow Grid: Select to print the grid lines. The default value is true (selected), which specifies that the grid lines are printed

oShow Border: Select to print the outline border around the entire sheet. The default value is true (selected,) which specifies that the border is printed

oLimit to Data: Select to print only rows containing data. The default value is true (selected), which specifies that rows and columns beyond the maximum are not printed

oShow Color: Select to print the colors as they appear on the screen. The default value is false (unselected), which specifies that the printing is in black and white

oShow Shadows: Select to print the header shadows. The default value is true (selected), which specifies that shadow effect for headers is printed

 

HTML

Include Column Headers: Yes to include column headers. No to exclude column headers

Include Row Headers: Yes to include row headers. No to exclude row headers

 

 

 

Export DataGrid

To export DataGrid, use Grid Tools > Standard > Export, or right click the DataGrid in Project manager (Misc group) and click Export

Supported formats are Excel, ASCII, XML and PDF

 

Excel Files
You are prompted to specify the sheet name and whether to export headers

 

Text Documents (ASCII)
You may specify the export of headers and the column delimiter

Column Delimiter
Choose the column delimiter you want to use when exporting data

Custom Column Delimiter
Only active if Column Delimiter is Custom

Include Headers

 

Portable Document Format (PDF)

Number of Columns: Number of columns, create layout array

Orientation: Sets the page orientation used for printing. The default value is Auto, which uses the current printer setting

Add Document Information: Allows you to add meta data to the PDF documents you create. Specify author, creation date, keywords, and so on.

Paper Size

Encrypt with a Password: Sets the password required to open the Pdf document

 

 

 

Export DataChart

To export DataChart , use Chart Tools > Standard > Export, or right click the DataChart in Project manager (Graphs group) and click Export

Supported formats are BMP, EMF, GIF, JPG, TIFF, WMF and ASCII

 

 

 

Export Script

To export Script, use Script Tools > Standard > Export, or right click the Script in Project manager (Scripts group) and click Export.

To export Script Output, move the cursor into the output window and then click Export.

Supported formats are HTML, RTF, Text and XML

Use Line Break Tags: Indicates whether line break tags should be used

Text Encoding: Encoding of saved file

Export DataReport

To export DataReport, use Report Tools > Standard > Export, or right click the DataReport in Project manager (Reports group) and click Export

Supported formats are RTF, Text, Unicode and PDF

 

Rich Text Files (RTF)
This method enables you to save the entire contents of the control to an RTF file that can be used by other programs such as Microsoft Word and Windows WordPad. If the file name that is passed to the path parameter already exists at the specified directory, the file will be overwritten without notice.
Include OLE Objects, allows you to export all objects like image, ....
 

Text Document (Txt)
Export a plain text stream that includes spaces in places of Object Linking and Embedding (OLE) objects
 

Unicode text Document
The text is encoded in Unicode.
