### Transform > Random Data

Use random data to generate random data from a given distribution. You can generate random data from the following distributions:

•Normal

•Uniform

•Beta

•Exponential

•Binomial

•Geometric

•Poisson

•Gamma

•Lognormal

•Pareto

•Triangular

•Weibull

### Example

The following example is for a binomial distribution; however, the method is similar for other distributions.

Suppose you want to generate 20 rows of random normal data.

1.Create a new DataBook

2.Choose the tab Transform, the group Random Data and the command Normal

3.In Sample Size, enter 20

4.In Distribution, select Normal

5.Click OK
