VisualStat Environment

The VisualStat Ribbon is located at the top of the screen, allowing you to access to all commands.

 

The main VisualStat window can contain many types of sub-windows:

One or more DataBook windows that show columns of data.

One or more Chart windows for high-resolution graphs created by VisualStat's chart commands.

One or more Report windows

One or more Grid windows that display vectors and matrices

A Project Manager, which contains

oA DataBook folder that displays a summary of the datasheets, columns, matrices, and vectors used in the current databook

oA Charts folder for managing, arranging, and naming your graphs

oA Reports folder for creating, arranging, and editing, reports of your work

oA Related Documents folder for quickly accessing project-related, non-VisualStat files for easy reference

oA Property Page for quickly visualization of the properties of the active object.

An Error List that log all information from your VisualStat, including errors and warnings.

A Web Browser windows to find and view information about anything on the web.

 

Managing windows

You can open and minimize VisualStat windows just as you would with other windows in your operating system. You can also control VisualStat windows with commands on the Window group of the View tab.

VisualStat has Tabbed MultiDocument Interface (MDI). Each MDI child form is represented by a tab item. The following is a list of the key features of the VisualStat MDI environment:

Multiple TabGroups
Tab items can be organized into multiple vertical or horizontal tab groups.

Tab Sizing Modes
Multiple tab sizing modes are available including fixed width, auto-sized and floating.

Drag & Drop functionality
Tabs can be repositioned within their tab groups, dragged to other tab groups or dragged to create new tab groups.

Save and load MDI layouts
The positions and settings of the MdiTab objects and MdiTabGroups can be saved when you quit VisualStat.

Resizable Tab Groups
A splitter bar is displayed between tab groups to allow the end user to resize the tab groups.

Custom Context Menus
A default context menu is displayed for the tab items.
